Maine fishing is perhaps best known for its fine fly fishing for brook trout and salmon.  Maine is home to over 95% of the United States' native brook trout waters, and no region has more trout fishing or better trout fishing in Maine than the Moosehead - Katahdin region.  MooseKat Guide Service has been fly fishing since we picked up a fish pole, and have spent countless hours on the waters in this unique region casting for rising trout and salmon.


    While Maine offers fine fly fishing for trout and salmon, fly fishing in Maine can also be effective for a variety of other species such as smallmouth bass, and stripers.  Depending on your fishing needs, accommodations may vary, but we'll do our best to help you bring the fish to your net.

   Our fly fishing rates are $265 per day for one person or $300 for two people.  We recommend clients try to keep fly fishing parties to groups of two or less to maximize the individual attention each angler can receive.  However, parties of 3 or 4 can be accommodated using canoes for an additional $40 per person. Overtime hourly rate is $80 per hour.  All rates include lunch and equipment for each member of the party.
